I estimate that at least 60% of clients I see don't have any actual issues - they have just never seen anyone breastfeed and have maybe received conflicting advice from other health professionals and/or friends and family. Breastfeeding IS natural - but it doesn't come naturally. Like any other skill it is learned through imitation and repetition. We should be watching our relatives and friends breastfeed, but we don't do this anymore.
