General information

This website is owned and operated by Justine van der Watt T/A Cherished Parenting Services.  All information is correct to best of her knowledge and ability.  These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use this website and services as offered.  This website offers visitors information on the products and services offered by Cherished Parenting Services, such as HypnoBirthing classes, lactation consultant services, and products for hire and sale.  By using this website you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Privacy

Personal information such as your name, address, phone number and email address, where supplied, is collected and held by Wix on behalf of Cherished Parenting Services for appointment bookings, class bookings, and contact via the chat or 'Contact Us' areas, prior to January 2020 for items bought via the online store, and post January 2020 for Spectra breast pumps and parts.  Personal information such as your name, address, phone number and email address, where supplied, is collected and held by ECWID on behalf of Cherished Parenting Services post January 2020 for items bought via the online store and Spectra breast pumps and parts pre-January 2020. Access has only been granted to Cherished Parenting Services.  Your information will be not passed onto any other third party by Cherished Parenting Services, with the exception of Australia Post for the purpose of creating postage labels (Australia post store this information on behalf of Cherished Parenting Services for the purposes of tracking parcels.  Further information may be available on their website).  Contact information may be used to contact you about your order or booking or enquiry, and occasionally to inform you of special offers or new information regarding Cherished Parenting Services.   Your personal information may also be collected by Square, PayPal, or AfterPay, and you will be subject to their terms and conditions.

Other information such as your interests, location, etc maybe collected and stored by Google and Facebook.  You will need to contact them to find out how they use this information.

Payments and refunds

Payment for services can be done via the online booking or event sections, or in person.  Refunds of these payments will only be done at the discretion of Cherished Parenting Services or as required by the law.  The $100 deposit for HypnoBirthing classes is non-refundable, except in exceptional medical circumstances (such as preterm birth or stillbirth).  Payment for Birthing Basics or the Breastfeeding and Newborn class are non-refundable but may be used for other services or products in cases where the class cannot be attended due to birth or medical issues.  Appointments that are paid for at the time of booking require 24 hours' notice to cancel for a full refund. Refunds for appointments cancelled less than 24hrs prior to the booked time are at the discretion of Cherished Parenting Services or as required by law.  Appointments may be rescheduled by either party.  Where appointments are cancelled by Cherished Parenting Services or where Cherished Parenting Services requests rescheduling, but a suitable day/time cannot be found, a full refund will be issued.

Products sold on the online store are sold as described on each product page.  By purchasing the items, you acknowledge that you have read the full product description and understand the purpose of the product. Every effort has been made to ensure the information for each product is as accurate as possible.  Cherished Parenting Services reserves the right to change this information without notice, including, but not limited to, the price and availability.  Cherished Parenting Services makes no guarantee that any product will work to increase or maintain breastmilk supply, or aid in comfort. 

 

Refunds for 'change of mind' or incorrect selection may be done if products are returned are in original sealed packaging.  Where items are not in sealed packaging refunds may not be given.  The refunds and returns policy is listed on each product page (if not then please contact Cherished Parenting Services before placing your order).  Items may be returned for a refund up to 6 months after ordering.  Returns after this period will be issued with a store credit.

Notification that an order is ready for pick up will be sent by text message, to the phone number on the order.  Where a phone number is not given, the email address may be used, but this may cause a delay.  Orders for pick up will be held for 30 days after the message is sent informing that the order is ready to be collected.  Orders not collected after this time will be automatically cancelled and refunded, minus a $2 repacking fee.

If you believe you have received a faulty item (except for Spectra breast pumps - see below) please contact Cherished Parenting Services.  Photos of the issue will be required.  Refunds or replacements will be done at the discretion of Cherished Parenting Services and as required by law.

Please allow up to 10 business days for refunds to be processed.  It may take additional time for the payment to clear back into your account.

Breast pump information

New Spectra breast pumps come with a 2-year warranty through Spectra Australia (valid from the date the new pump is received) - warranty claims must be made through their website (www.spectra-baby.com.au/warranty).  Cherished Parenting Services does not have the facilities to assess warranty claims.  Rental breast pumps that stop working will be replaced as soon as possible but may be limited by availability of rental breast pumps.  Refunds for 'change of mind' or incorrect selection on the breast pumps is done at the sole discretion of Cherished Parenting Services.

Delivery of the breast pumps is offered, but not guaranteed, including those purchased online.  Rental breast pumps will be replaced with new pumps once the full amount has been paid, or as requested by the renter and the balance paid.  Delivery to swap pumps is also not guaranteed.

Postage of orders

Items will be sent as soon as humanly possible, usually within 1 business day.  Once items are received by the company carrying out the delivery (usually Australia Post) no further responsibility will be held by Cherished Parenting Services.  Purchasing orders with Express postage does not guarantee faster dispatching - orders are dispatched in the order they are received. 

 

In cases of the orders being returned to Cherished Parenting Services (eg. incorrect address given by customer, item/s not collected from post office, etc), the customer will receive a refund minus the fee charged to Cherished Parenting Services to receive the item back from Australia Post (a copy of the receipt showing the amount paid will be available on request) and postage paid.  Customers may place a new order if they still wish to receive the item/s.

More general information

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cherished Parenting Services assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our services or products; (iii) any unauthorised access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Information provided within the website is provided in good faith.  However, while every effort is made, the accuracy of any statements is not guaranteed and it is the responsibility of the reader to make their own enquiries as to the accuracy, currency, and appropriateness of any information or advice provided.  Liability for any act or omission occurring in reliance on presentation or for any loss, damage, or injury occurring as a consequence of such act or omission is expressly disclaimed.

Cherished Parenting Services reserves the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion.  Therefore, you should review this page periodically.  Should you not agree to any of these Terms, or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access or continue to access, this website
