Hi! In case this is the first page of my website your are visiting, my name is Justine. I am a mother, midwife, nurse, and lactation consultant (IBCLC). I have been an authorised Spectra® breast pump stockist in Perth (as well as other brands of expressing products) since 2016.
I was one of Spectra's first stockist in Perth. In this time, I have seen many other brands come and go, I still believe Spectra® is one of the best.
I understand that needing a breast pump is not always a Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm thing - so you are welcome to contact me at any time, day or night (inc weekends and holidays). Calling or texting the mobile (0405 427 998) will get the fastest response - if I am asleep my phone is on silent. I generally answer messages between 9 and 6.30pm - I usually have my phone on me most of the time - I will answer as soon as humanly possible, and at my discretion outside those times.
*Delivery is offered within 30km of the Perth CBD for free but depends on my availability - I am only 1 person and have other jobs, such as being a mother and seeing clients for breastfeeding support, so please understand that it is not always available. Pick up is almost always available every day from my place near Morley.
Rentals are done on a 'first come first served basis', so cannot be booked in advance, but I usually have something available. If you need a pump asap please get in touch and I will do my best to assist your as quickly as possible
You are welcome to contact me with questions at any time.
Important Information About Choosing a Breast Pump
The most expensive pump is not always “the best,” and just because wearable pumps are popular right now doesn’t mean they will work well for everyone (click here for an article on wearable breast pumps). The type of breast pump best suited to you depends on why you are expressing.
And before you say “to get expressed breastmilk,” yes - but why exactly?
-
Is it because baby is not latching or feeding well and you need to increase or maintain your output?
-
Or is it because you are returning to work or want to express occasionally?
These situations often require different types of pumps.
There is no official definition of “hospital‑grade,” but in general it refers to a pump that can initiate and maintain breastmilk output without a baby ever needing to latch directly. Based on my experience as a Spectra stockist since 2016, I am confident that the Spectra Dual S, S1, and S2 meet this definition.
All of these pumps are double, electric pumps (except the Wearable), and each suits different expressing needs.
If you’d like help choosing the right pump for your situation, you can read the article I wrote on how to choose the best breast pump for you - click here or you are always welcome to contact me.
Flange sizing can also be very important - if I offer to help with sizing, I am not just trying to sell you more items - click here for more information

As mentioned above, 'hospital Grade' is not an officially recognised term (eg the TGA or Health Department do not recognise any pump as 'hospital grade'), and anyone can call any brand or model 'hospital grade'. However, they are generally considered pumps that can initiate and maintain breastmilk supply without the baby ever having to latch directly. They may also help increase supply. I have sold Spectra breast pumps in Perth since early 2016 and personally used one to increase my supply and exclusively express for 8 months in 2014 - I am confident when I say that the Dual S, S1, and S2 meet this definition. Any pump smaller than these are unlikely to be of the same efficiency.
Please note - I am only able to sell/rent Spectra® branded items within the Perth Metro area. If you are outside Perth please click here to visit the Spectra® website
All Spectra breast pumps come with 2 new collection kits*, which include:
-
24mm flanges
-
Backflow protectors
-
Tubing
-
Valves
-
Bottles**
Flanges in sizes 10mm to 21mm are available separately (bigger sizes are not longer sold without consultation - only 1% need bigger than 21mm).
*The wearable pump is single - to double pump you need to purchase x2
**Spectra® bottles include teats - using an artificial teat to feed a breastfed baby may cause 'nipple confusion'. If you are struggling with breastfeeding or needing to bottle feed a breastfed baby, you should contact a Lactation Consultant for help/advice.
Information For Hiring a Breast Pump
-
All Spectra® breast pumps are a 'closed system' - meaning that no milk can get into the motor of the pump. They are therefore safe to be shared, as long as new kits are used for each user. (This excludes the wearable pump, which is why it is not available to rent)
-
Hiring a pump requires a $100 deposit to be paid upfront - this can be paid by cash or credit/debit card
-
If you return the pump, $40 will be kept to cover the cost of the collection kits as they are not returnable.
-
Weekly rental amounts are listed above under each model - this will be direct debited from the account you nominate via 'GoCardless', until either the balance is paid, or you return the rental breast pump
-
All money paid (including the deposit) is deducted from the cost of a new pump, regardless of what model you rent and which one you end up buying.
-
A form of ID is required to hire a pump (Driver’s Licence, Passport, or Medicare Card)
-
You can switch between models (except the Wearable pump), depending on availability. The deposit will be retained, and the rental amount adjusted accordingly.
*Note some pumps have different designed bottles and/or use an extra connector - if you rent 1 type but swap to another you will not get any further kits/bottles (you will be given the connectors for free if needed)

Frequently Asked Questions
If I buy a pump is it brand new?
-
Yes, definitely. They come brand new, unopened, in the original packaging direct from Spectra.
Do the new pumps come with a warranty?
-
Yes, the pumps are direct from Spectra and I am an authorised stockist (since 2016), so they have the usual warranty with Spectra Australia.
Do you offer payment plans?
-
Yes, I offer payment plans through PayPal Pay in 4, which is similar to AfterPay
What payment methods do you offer?
-
I can take cash, card (online or in person, including Tap & Go), and PayPal (online only)
Do I need a breast pump before my baby arrives?
-
No, there's usually no need to buy a breast pump before baby is born - partially because you cannot use it and also, you won't know if or why you'll need one. But it’s helpful to know your options and where to get one quickly if needed. I answer my phone between 9am and 6.30pm (sometimes later) and can usually get you a pump in under 24hrs.
What’s the difference between hospital‑grade and personal pumps?
-
Hospital‑grade pumps can initiate, maintain, and increase supply. Personal or occasional pumps (including wearables) are best used once breastfeeding is established.
Do you offer delivery?
-
Yes, free delivery is offered within 30km of the Perth CBD, depending on my availability. Pick up is available almost every day (including weekends and public holidays).
Can you help me choose the right pump?
-
Absolutely - I can help you choose based on your situation, supply, and feeding goals. I can also show you how to use the pump, plus give you tips on expressing and check flange sizing, if you want.

Accessories
A range of other expressing and breastfeeding products, including all flanges in different sizes, valves, tubing, and more are available in the Online Store. Free pick up is available in Perth or flat rate postage anywhere in Australia
